The Exposition dedicated to Carlo Carrà – Palazzo Reale Milan

Palazzo Reale hosts from the 4th of October 2018 to the 3rd of February 2019 an extraordinary exposition dedicated to Carlo Carrà, one of mayor representative of the Futurist movement and of the European metaphysic of the XXth century.
The exposition, promoted and produced by the Comune of Milan, opens to the public after 30 years from the last exposition that the city of Milan dedicated to the artist.
The exposition aims to reconstruct the artistic path of the painter through his most famous canvas, from the initial Divisionist works until his greatest masterpieces.
The exposition collects 130 works temporarily lent by important private collections as well as Italian and international public collections. The show is also enriched byseveral documents such as pictures, letters and videos documenting the intense and passionate life of the painter.
The exhibition is divided into different sections, each relating to a precise artist's life period: Divisionism and Futurism, Primitivism, Metaphysics, Return to Nature, Centrality of the Figure, the Last Years and portraits.
